Message BE NICE!!! Keep in mind, this is one of those 'trends' you guys usually dont like. So, from here in, if you're biased because of this reason, I can already assume what you'll say, and those comments aren't exactly what I'm looking for. It's rare that I ask opinions on style, (even though i get those opinions every time i post,) but i guess i'll just ask, see what people think. Here goes nothing:

My z32 is Diamond black pearl, but is going to need a new paintjob when it's out of the shop. To save some money on the paintjob, (negligible, but still enough to cause me to ask,) I've been toying with the idea of uhh, just stripping the paint off my hood COMPLETELY?

...carefully stripping the paint, and polishing the metal, and clear coating it to either a ridiculous shine, or a more satin shine. I'm intending on my wheels to be polished as well, just wanted to see what you'd guys think about this combination.

For the record, I have two hoods already:

- one CF one that I'm repairing, and currently painting chalkboard style (and might DIY vent this hood (cut in the middle, bend it downward, fiberglass the sides, and paint,)

- and my stock aluminum one that's a pristine diamond black pearl.

I might just pick up another hood off the classifieds to experiment with, to polish, that way i have some options whenever i decide to go out in style.

Here's some pics:

My opinion is that it looks pretty clean when pulled of the right way. I.E. when the rest of the car is clean as well.

Thoughts? Can't hurt if i have 3 hoods to choose from, right? I got the space for the hoods, that's no issue.
